It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Stacey, who passed away after a courageous and inspiring 3 1/2- years battle with glioblastoma.
Stacey faced this devastating illness with extraordinary strength, courage, dignity, and grace. Through more than three years of treatments, setbacks, and unimaginable challenges, she rarely complained. Instead, she continued to focus on the people she loved and on living her life with purpose and determination. Her strength is an inspiration to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Stacey was the beloved wife of Howie Kastner and the devoted mother of her two daughters, Amanda Kastner and Ben Francoz, and Alyssa Kastner and Jake Carrick. Her girls were the center of her world, and the love and pride she had for them was limitless.
She is survived by her loving father, Marcel Elefant, and was predeceased by her mother, Cynthia Brown. Stacey is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law Steven and Sheri, and Robert and Lisa, as well as her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Andy and Ali; Jay and Maria; and Mitch.
She will be missed by all of her nieces and nephews who she had special bonds with.
She leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories and an immeasurable hole in the hearts of everyone who loved her. We will carry her strength, her love, and her spirit with us always.
Special thanks to Dr Marla Shapiro, Dr Kevin Petrecca, and Dr Mary Jane Lim Fat, who went above and beyond, and who we are forever indebted to.
