The family will be accepting condolence visits at his son's home following burial from close friends and family only.
Due to the festival of Sukkot and the onset of Simchas Torah, Shiva will commence on Monday, October 5th until Thursday October 8th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

With broken hearts, the family of Abbey Kreisman announces his peaceful passing on Sukkot, September 26, 2026.
Abbey was the beloved youngest child of the late Joseph and the late Bella Kreisman, and brother and brother-in-law of the late Sylvia and the late Leon Leonoff. He was the first of his family to be born in Montreal, after his parents fled Eastern Europe.
He was the adored husband of Lois Schapira; beloved father and father-in-law of Selena, and Brian and Loren; and cherished grandfather of Joshua, Jessi, Fayth, Toby, Zev, and Misha. He was a devoted uncle to Debbie and Murray Star, Joel and Lori Leonoff, Randi and Harvey Schwartz, Eric and Flori Schapira, Paul and Siggy Schapira, and Sari and Brandon Guben.
Abbey was the first Kreisman to earn a university degree, a testament to his determination and ambition. He went on to become a founding partner of Bessner Gallay Schapira Kreisman, now known as Crowe BGK, where he served as managing partner for more than 15 years.
Abbey lived life with an extraordinary zest. He embraced adventure, treasured friendships and never lost his ability to find joy in the people and moments around him. His infectious smile, positive outlook, generosity, and genuine interest in others left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mabel for the extraordinary care, compassion, and love she showed Abbey over the years.
Abbey leaves behind a legacy of love, family, friendship, and a life lived fully. He will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
Funeral Service date and time to be confirmed. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt. Due to the festival of Sukkot and the onset of Simchas Torah, the family will be accepting condolence visits following burial. Shiva will commence on Monday, at his son’s home.
