Alan Jeffrey Kotler

Peacefully, on Friday, August 14th 2026, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Marlene (née Zinman). Devoted and loving father and father-in-law of Janis and Karl, and Heidi and Robert. Cherished Zaidie of Anabel, Olivia and Zachary, who brought him tremendous pride and joy. Beloved son of the late Jeanette (née Lesser), who passed away when he was just nine years old, and of the late Gordon and the late Dorothy Kotler. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Mark and Bella Kotler, the late Marcia Kotler, David and Zozzie Golden, Sheila and Kenneth Segal, Allan Golden; brother-in-law of David Zinman, Stanley and Suzanne Zinman. He will also be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Jeff’s life was centred around the people he loved. Above all, he was a husband, a father, a Zaidee, a brother and an uncle, and his presence will live on in the family he leaves behind.

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Monday, August 17th, at 12:00 p.m. Burial at Beit Abraham Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at his daughter’s home in Beaconsfield.
