Anne Haltrecht (née Lifshitz)

Peacefully, in her ninety second year, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday May 2, 2026. Devoted wife and soulmate of the late Max Haltrecht for seventy years. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Donna Haltrecht and Leslie Lansky, and the late Howard Haltrecht. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Edith and the late Hyman Lifshitz, the late Lily and the late Sam Toulch, the late Dora and the late Harry Panoff and the late Murray Nixon, the late Norma and the late Howard Gilmour, and sister-in-law of the late Henny and the late Terry Robbins. Daughter of the late Bessie and the late Harry Lifshitz

 Loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to Susie and Brian. Anne will hold a special place in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched. Sincere gratitude to Elena for her care and compassion. Special thanks to the teams on 5B + 5C and to the Palliative Care Unit at the Jewish General Hospital.

Graveside service on Tuesday May 5 at 12:00 p.m. at the Chevra Thilim Pinsker Congregation Cemetery #3 (B4), Gate 1 (entrance close to Victoria), Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at Ruby Foo’s 7655 Decarie Blvd. following the burial until 9pm.
