Peacefully, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the young age of seventy-seven. Beloved husband of Esther Cohen. Proud stepfather of Lauren Aslatei and Mitch Adler, and Adam Cohen-Aslatei and Joshua Gaynor. Devoted Zaidie of Layla, Teddy, and Billy, who were the light of his life. Son of the late Claire and the late Hymie Schwartz. He adored his mother, who was a source of love and warmth throughout his life. Dear brother of Marsha Katz. He will be greatly missed by his nephew Jeffrey and Helene, and his longtime best friend Harvey Rosenstein.
Deepest thanks to the extraordinary team at the Cardiac Unit of the Jewish General Hospital, whose kindness, compassion, and attentive care brought comfort and dignity during his final weeks.
