Bella Kasner (née Solak)

The family is heartbroken to announce Bella’s peaceful passing at home, surrounded by her family on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the age of ninety-four. Daughter of the late Sam and the late Tillie Solak. Beloved wife of the late Edward for fifty-six years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Dr. Oscar and Marilyn. Loving Bubby of Amy and Pini, Paul and Marilyn; and proud great-grandmother of Elsie, Lia, and Nadine. Treasured sister and sister-in-law of Rita and the late Irving Baron, Henny and the late Mendy Solak, the late Mary and the late Jerry Weissfeld, and the late Zelda Solak. She will be remembered by her nieces and nephews, and especially missed by her niece Susan.

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W, Montreal on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home. She lived her life devoted to her family, which brought her many years of happiness. Her greatest joy was living long enough to experience the wonder of becoming a great-grandmother.
