Bernard Leichtag

Peacefully, on Friday, March 20, 2026 in his 91th year. Cherished husband of Vera Katz for over 58 years. Beloved son of the late Moishe and the late Feiga Leichtag. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Helen Leichtag and the late Dan Levy. Bernie will be fondly remembered by his relatives, nephews, life long friend Bob Glazer and by all who knew and loved him. Bernie graduated from the McGill University Faculty of Engineering, class of 1957. Special thanks to Dr. Wilson Miller, the Oncology Department, the doctors and staff of C3 at the Jewish General Hospital, and to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the 4 West Wing at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, March 22 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Baron De Hirsch Cemetery (E-8), de la Savane. Shiva is strictly private.
