Bernie Spector

Spector, Bernie, peacefully at home, on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in his 94th year surrounded by his loving family. Beloved and devoted husband of Ida for 67 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Allan and Miriam, Linny and Howie. Adoring grandfather of Samantha and Adam, Corey and Emily, Chad, Haley and Daniel, Kelsey and Jesse, and Annie. Proud great-grandfather of Jaden, Max, and Mila. Cherished brother and brother in law of Doreen Tanzer and the late Danny Caplan and Issie Tanzer.  Dorothy and Richard Rotholz, Sylvia and Teddy Quint, Donny and Judi Gordon. He was a wonderful and loving uncle to his many nieces, nephews, and their families. 

Bernie was a respected and trusted optometrist who dedicated his professional life to caring for his patients and serving his community with kindness, integrity, and compassion.

The family would like to acknowledge the extraordinary care provided by Annabelle, Anna, Jackie, Liza, Boyet, Ange, and Judith for their many years of devotion, compassion, and unwavering support. Special thanks to Dr. Ilan Benjamin for his many years of exceptional care, friendship, and dedication. Funeral service at Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, June 16 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Tifereth Jerusalem #3 (C21) Section, Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. He was a Renaissance man, a gentleman and a scholar. His family was his life.
