Brian Pollock

Funeral

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held in Seattle at the end of September.

May 6, 1947 – August 31, 2024

Brian Pollock, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and car enthusiast, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the age of 77. Brian, the son of Myer and Bess Pollock, was born on May 6, 1947, in Montreal, Quebec. Brian’s passion for cars began in childhood and remained a driving force throughout his life.

Brian’s love for vintage cars was matched by his joy in sharing that passion with others, particularly during the many rallies he participated in alongside his wife, Randy. His dedication to the automotive world was recognized through his role as a judge at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, a position he held for over 30 years.

Brian graduated University with a degree in mechanical engineering and started his career in Montreal in the aeronautical industry. His life journey took him from Montreal to Vancouver, British Columbia, where he entered the electronics industry that eventually led him to Mercer Island, Washington, where he raised his family and spent the past 40 years.

Brian had many loves. Aside from long drives and tinkering in his garage, he loved to ski, hike, and boat. He loved the sun on his face and the wind blowing through his hair. But what he loved most was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Randy Pollock, his children Jennifer (Cody) Bishop and Michael (Nicole) Pollock, his four grandchildren Gage and Lily Bishop, Benjamin and Natalie Pollock, his sisters Marlene Pollock Sheff and Barbara Pollock (Lawrence Perlman), and his grand-dogs Baxter and Boo.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and forever remembered for his love, kindness, and enduring enthusiasm for life.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held in Seattle at the end of September. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to City of Hope Hospital in Los Angeles in Brian’s memory. Please direct to Lung Cancer Research. www.cityofhope.org/giving/ways-to-give
