Peacefully, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, surrounded by her 3 children. Loving wife of the late Larry Baily. Claire was the mother and mother-in-law of Robin, Matt, June and Nitai. She was the cherished grandmother of Alexandra and Zachary, Caitlin and Dave, Sammy and Jaime, Rachel and Maya. She was blessed with 2 great-grandchildren Ryder and Raye. Daughter of the late Ida and the late Alec Schachter. Sister of the late Emma and the late Beryl Bean. Much gratitude to Prema for her long standing care, as well as the entire staff of the Jewish Eldercare, Kastner Pavillion (K4). Claire will be greatly missed and always remembered by her family and friends.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, August 16 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Yishitzer Young Men’s Section, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Duvernay. Shiva at her daughter June’s home. Donations in Claire’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
