Donna Kruger Shein

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Beloved and proud mother of Scott and Max (Kestrel). She was a devoted wife and partner to Steven for thirty-six years. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Howie and Rhoda Kruger, Stuart Kruger, Katia Betito, and Susan Grodan. She is also remembered by her brother Allan Kruger. Daughter of the late Saul and the late Toby Kruger. She will be deeply missed by her many adoring nieces, nephews, extended family members, and so many caring friends. She will also be fondly remembered by Brady (Julie) and Brittany Shein. 

Donna was, above all, a devoted and loving mother whose greatest happiness came from caring for her children and bringing her family together. She expressed her love through her home, her cooking, and the traditions she created and maintained with warmth and pride. She was a loyal and generous friend whose kindness touched so many. She found meaning and comfort in her connection to The Chevra, especially through participation in Tanya classes and community involvement, while instilling those values and traditions in her home. Her warmth, strength, and devotion to family and community will be remembered forever by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Sunday, April 12 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home Sunday following burial until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Evening services at 7:30 p.m. daily.
