Doris Freeman (née Lenet)

Peacefully, after a long illness, on Monday, December 1, 2025, in her ninety-fourth year. Beloved wife of the late Samuel Freeman for sixty-two years. Loving mother of Lorne and his special friend Alexandra, Ron and his partner Luke. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Hector and Irene Lenet, Ruby and the late Edward Heft, Claire and the late Lawrence Bordoff, the late Arnold Lenet and the late Phyllis Levine-Lenet; sister-in-law of Freda Wingrad, the late Janet and the late Max Frieman, the late Sybil and the late Barney Shorr. Doris will be sadly missed by her beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of 6 North, Maimonides Hospital for their care and compassion.  Special thanks to Paige Tooney for taking exceptional care of Doris.

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Friday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Zichron Kedoshim Congregation Cemetery, Anshei Ukraina Section, de la Savane.  Shiva at Chabad Zichron Kedoshim, 5215 Westbury Avenue, on Friday following burial until 2:00 p.m., Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., the family will continue Shiva privately.  Contributions in her memory may be made to the Donald Berman Maimonides Foundation at (514) 483-2121 ext. 72207 or click here.
