Dr. Lionel Cudzinowski

With great courage, surrounded by his adoring family, Lionel passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, March 14, 2026. Son of the late Morris and the late Pearl Cudzinowski. Lionel is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Sandy Segal. Devoted and treasured father and father-in-law of  Matthew Cudzinowski and Rachel Newman, Elissa Cudzinowski and Yaacov Whitman. Very proud Zaidie Lionel of Stella Pearl.  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Eva and Mark Madras and family, and brother-in-law of Barry and Karen Segal and family. Lionel was an incredibly gifted, accomplished and well-respected pediatric dentist at CHU Sainte-Justine. Dr. Cudzinowski also taught pediatric dentistry at Université de Montréal where he was a mentor to many of his students. He was known for his sensitivity, kindness, understanding and huge heart. Many thanks to the staff at Donald Berman Jewish Eldercare Centre, Hope 3A,  for their wonderful care, and to his caregivers who brightened up each day. Much gratitude to the staff of Pavilion C, third floor, and the Palliative care team at the Jewish General Hospital for their unwavering support and care of Lionel and his family. A very special thank you to Dr. Marty Teltscher. 

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Tuesday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Beit Abraham Family Estates Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at his home.
