Peacefully after a courageous battle on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Adored mother and mother-in- law of Harry and Helen Krane, and Tracy and Shawn Werbitt. Wife and best friend of Brian Stewart and the late Norman Krane. Cherished Bubbie of Ryan Werbitt; Joshua, and the late Ruthie Krane. Daughter of the late Harry and the late Goldie Croll. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Vivian and Isaac Behar, the late Linda and the late Philip Hankin, Brian and the late Susan Shaw. Loving aunt of Jack and Richard Behar and the late David Shaw. Eleanor will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Shiva at her daughter’s home following burial until 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Gauthier as well as the entire 4th floor staff of Mount Sinai for their care, kindness and devotion.
