LEVIN, Esther (née Ginsberg)

Peacefully, on Sunday June 9, 2024, in her one hundred and fourth year.  Wife of the late Moe Levin. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Katharine Kanter and Benoit Chalifoux, Pamela Kanter and Edward Rothberg, Suanne Levin and Michael Ray, and Nancy Levin. Cherished grandmother of Carolyn Ray, Brenna Moscovitch, and Justin Nagley. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Sally and the late Mort Vineberg, Mary and the late Hy Hazen, the late Faye Gilbert, the late Hy and the late Adele Ginsberg.  Special thanks to Nida Erese, her devoted housekeeper, to Franklin Erese, and to her caregivers, Jeda, Julie and Rina, for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the B’nai Jacob Section, Back River Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Lajeunesse St. Due the festival of Shavuot, there will be no shiva.  Contributions in her memory may be made to the Montreal Neurological Hospital, (514) 398-1958.
