Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the age of ninety-one. Beloved husband of Marie-Berthe Daigneault, with whom he shared twenty-nine wonderful years of marriage. He was previously married for thirty-seven years to the late Sandra Breslin, the mother of his three children. Devoted and deeply loved father and father-in-law of Lynne and Alain, Adam and Dinorah, Peter and Daphnée. Loving stepfather of Isabelle Larocque and her fiancé Scott Lovegrove, Philip Larocque and his fiancée Marie-Lou Letourneau. Proud and adoring Papa of Jordan, Rachel, Samantha and Emilio; Joshua, Seth and Alexandra; Samuel, Justin, Alexa, Zara and Mila; Mischa; Sasha and Loucas. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Harvey and Solange Goldberg.
Gerry was truly larger than life. A proud Zionist, passionate philanthropist, an accomplished entrepreneur having founded Bouclair and a lifelong tennis enthusiast. He brought energy, excitement and determination to everything he did. He lived fully, loved his family deeply and left an unforgettable impression on everyone fortunate enough to have met him. He will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched.
Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Tuesday June 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom Congregation Section, Mount Royal Cemetery. Shiva at 1280 Sherbrooke Street West, Tuesday through Thursday.
