Howard "Howie" Porper

Peacefully in his hometown of Montreal, on Saturday June 13, 2026 at the age of 62.

Beloved son of  Nathan (z”l) and Mona (z”l) Porper. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Wendy (z”l) and Steven Baron. Cherished uncle of Brittany Baron, Sloan and Aaron Farber and great-uncle of Wesley, Max and Jamie.

Treasured nephew of Abie (z”l) and Sarah Porper. Dear cousin of Sharon and Zoli Keller, William and Liza Porper and the Gasman, Gorenstein and Bender families. Howard’s neshama will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who loved and supported him, especially his dear friends, the Wexler family, and Ilan, Shelley and Wendy. 

Our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. David Drullinsky at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Dr. Cristiano Ferrario and Dr. Alexander Lozano at the Jewish General Hospital and to Dr. Golda Tradounsky and the palliative care team at Mount Sinai Hospital.

A special thank you to his caregivers, Susana and Divora, for their devoted care and companionship. 

Graveside funeral service and burial on Tuesday, June 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Pardes Chaim Cemetery in Maple, Ontario. The family will welcome visitors following the burial at the Farber home.
