Irving Richer

Peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the age of ninety-seven, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of the late Dora (nee Gen). Loving father and father-in-law of Norman and Susan, and Eileen and Alvin. Devoted Pa to Signe and Jordan, Erica and Daniel, Lara and Esli, and Kyle and Maria. Adoring great-grandfather of Olivia, Charlie, Freyja, Kaia, and Arni. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Helaine and the late Morty, the late Jack and the late Naomi, the late Leah and the late Leonard. Irving will be especially missed by his dear friend Merle, and by many nieces and nephews. With gratitude to Grace and Dr. Lipes for their devoted care. With great appreciation for the support Irving received from the staff, neighbours and his many friends at the Fort. Irving took great pride in his many accomplishments as an entrepreneur, musician and inventor. Together Dora and Irving enjoyed both city and country living, shared activities including golf, tennis, skiing, playing bridge, and had many international adventures.

Graveside service on Friday, December 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the Shaare Zion Congregation section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. A celebration of Irving’s life to be held in Toronto at a later date. Donations in Irving’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
