Peacefully, after a brief illness, on Shabbat, Saturday, September 20, 2025. Beloved husband of Ann Shirley for fifty-five years. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Marla Weinstein and Marvin Shahin, Jeffrey and Marie-Claire, Jamie and Stephen. Proud and cherished Zadie of Ethan, Liza, Dylan, Jacob, and Mattie. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Allan and Yvonne, the late Esther; and brother-in-law of the late Mona.
Sonny will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was a respected Superior Court Judge for over twenty-five years. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the ICU at the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care and support.
