Passed away on August 3, 2026 at the age of 84. Originally from Montreal, Canada, living in Florida for the last 40 years. He was born to the late Freda Wasserman and the late Morris Sazant.
Larry studied law at McGill University. He graduated at the top of his class and was editor of the Law Review. As an attorney, he began his career as a sports agent. His clients included top players on the Islanders, Canadiens, and others in the NHL and MLB. He enjoyed playing racquetball, and loved watching basketball and hockey. He was a voracious reader of non-fiction, and loved learning new languages.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sheila, and his children Julie ( Stu), Neil (Jennifer), Daniel (Barbara) and Robert (Audrey), his devoted sister Rhona (George), brother Alan (Rose) the late Murray (Shirley), and his aunt, Jeannie. His loving nieces and nephews Joanne (Michael), Leora and Brandon, and his grandchildren, Sydney, Connor and Austin who will miss his colorful stories. His numerous cousins, other devoted family members and friends mourn his loss as well.
A special thank you to Ann Taylor for her exceptional care and Marcia Tookes who was a terrific addition to the team caring for my dad. We also want to thank Dr. Cruz and the nurses at Vitas Healthcare for providing compassionate care.
