Peacefully, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in her ninety-sixth year. Beloved wife and soulmate of the late Norman for sixty-nine years. Adored mother and mother-in-law of Michael and Linda, Anthony and Risa, and the late Dana. Cherished grandmother of Amanda and David, Hailey, Russell and Sophie, Molly and Damiano; and proud great-grandmother of Mackenzie. Predeceased by her parents, David and Jeanette Klein, and by her sister Diane.

Glamorous and stylish, Laurrel carried herself with effortless elegance and grace, her soft-spoken presence matched by a quiet strength. She was passionate about arts and literature with a deeply creative spirit. Laurrel also studied psychology, reflecting her thoughtful and perceptive nature. A wonderful cook who loved to entertain, Laurrel found joy in bringing people together and making them feel at home. She will be deeply missed by her cousins, her nieces and nephews and their families, her cherished friends, and by all those who knew her. Special thanks to Sam, and to the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff at Maimonides 6 South.
