Lucie Perez

Peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the age of ninety-nine. Born on January 1, 1926, in Rabat, Morocco. Devoted wife of the late Charles Perez Z”L. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Joelle (Norman Klein), Ava (Robert Hammond), and Raphael (Gilla Amar). Proud and blessed grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of four. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Sam, Haim, Emile, Alice, Perla, Georgette, and Marcelle.

Her presence will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those who knew her. Profound gratitude to Kettly Saint-Louis for being our mother’s friend and companion. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Donald Berman Jewish Eldercare Centre (5th floor Kastner) for their compassion and care, especially Michel Aubertin with whom she shared a special bond.

Lucie will be remembered for her warmth and sense of humour. She was proud and passionate about her lifelong community involvement, notably as president of the women’s division of the Communauté Sepharade de Ville St. Laurent Petah Tikvah, and for her work with Combined Jewish Appeal, amongst others.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, November 2 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at the Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home (11131 rue Meighen, Townhouse B, Pierrefonds) Sunday following burial until 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and in the evening following services until 9:00 p.m. Evening services at 7:00 p.m. daily at Congregation Or Shalom (96 Fredmir, Dollard-des-Ormeaux). Donations in Lucie’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

C’est avec tristesse que la famille de Lucie Perez annonce son décès le vendredi 31 octobre 2025, entourée de ses enfants, à l'âge de 99 ans. Née le 1er janvier 1926 à Rabat, au Maroc. Épouse dévouée de feu Charles Perez Z”L. Mère et belle-mère aimante de Joelle (Norman Klein), Ava (Robert Hammond) et Raphael (Gilla Amar). Fière et heureuse grand-mère de cinq petits-enfants et arrière-grand-mère de quatre arrière-petits-enfants. Précédée dans la mort par ses frères et sœurs et leurs conjoints, Sam, Haim, Emile, Alice, Perla, Georgette et Marcelle.

Sa présence manquera beaucoup à sa famille, à ses amis et à tous ceux et celles qui l'ont connue. Nous exprimons notre profonde gratitude à Kettly Saint-Louis pour avoir été l'amie et la compagne de notre mère. Nous remercions tout particulièrement les médecins, les infirmières et le personnel du Centre Donald Berman Jewish Eldercare (5e étage Kastner) pour leur compassion et leurs soins, en particulier Michel Aubertin avec qui elle partageait un lien spécial.

Lucie restera dans nos mémoires pour sa chaleur humaine et son sens de l'humour. Elle était fière et passionnée par son engagement communautaire de toutes ses années, notamment en tant que présidente de la division féminine de la Communauté séfarade de Ville Saint-Laurent Petah Tikvah, et pour son travail avec le «Combined Jewish Appeal», entre autres.

Le service funéraire aura lieu le dimanche 2 novembre à 15h chez: Paperman et fils, 3888, rue Jean-Talon Ouest L'inhumation aura lieu au cimetière Memorial Park, située à 5015 rue de la Savane. La shiva se tiendra à son domicile (11131, rue Meighen, maison B, Pierrefonds) le dimanche suite à l'enterrement jusqu'à 21h, du lundi au jeudi de 14h à 16h et le soir suite aux prières jusqu'à 21h. Les prières du soir auront lieu à la Congrégation Or Shalom (96, Fredmir, Dollard-des-Ormeaux) à 19h quotidiennement. Les dons en mémoire de Lucie peuvent être faits à la charité de votre choix.
