Unexpectedly, on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Lydia’s greatest joy in life came from her family, the absolute centre of her world. Her ability to “kvell” and share joy with the people she loved was truly extraordinary. Devoted mother of Sean Sherman. Adoring “Bubba” of Aidan, and Sydney. Daughter of Jack z’’l and Mildred Pantel z’’l. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Joyce and Philip Gampel z’’l, and Eileen z’’l and David Solomon z’’l. Loving aunt of Mark z’’l, Robert, Bonnie-sue, Matthew, Aly, and Melanie; and cherished great-aunt of Phoebe, Miki, Paige, Emily, Cooper, and Jaymie. Lydia’s warmth and unwavering devotion to those she loved will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
