Margaret Newman

Peacefully in her one-hundred-and-second year on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Samuel. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Hedy Newman and Morrie Markoff, Suzy and the late Jack Levy, Bebe Newman and Howard Braziller, Joel and Helen Newman. Cherished Bubby of David and Natalie, Jordan and Danielle, Michelle; Joshua and Sothea, Michael and Shiran, Alexander and Melissa; Jeremy and Jessie, Jonathan, Colin and Chloe; Corey and Lisa, Derek and Skye. Proud great-grandmother of Kailey, Madison, Gabriel, Raphael, Emanuel, Nathaniel, Aidan, Wesley, Jack, Adira. Predeceased by her brother Joseph Kaufman and by her siblings who perished in the Holocaust. Sister-in-law of Jenny Kaufman. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and by all who knew and loved her. Special thanks to Margaret’s caregivers for their care, kindness, and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Monday, June 10 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Beth Israel Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at her son’s home following burial until; 9:00 p.m..
