With shattered hearts, the family announces the passing of Mark Sidney Shapiro after a brief illness, at the age of forty-nine. Devoted, exemplary father of Joshua Shapiro, Ryan Shapiro, and Gage Shereck. Beloved son of Dr. Robert & Tina Shapiro. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Joanne & Robert Libman; Sandra Shapiro & Bram Goldstein. Cherished uncle of Kevin & Stephanie, Daniel, and Jonathan Libman; Jonah, and Ezra Goldstein. Adoring and loving boyfriend of Alexandra Giannakis.
The family wishes to extend their extreme gratitude to the Stroke ICU staff of the Montreal Neurological Hospital and the Internal Medicine team at the Jewish General Hospital for their care and devotion to Mark.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organisation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva will be held at his parents’ home.
