Peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in his eighty-fifth year. Beloved husband and best friend of Lynne for fifty-eight years. Devoted and loving father and father-in-law of Jodi Tkatch and Jerry Grill, Mitchell Tkatch and Carla Kaback, Amy Tkatch. Cherished Grandpa of Sydnee, Chloe; Matthew, Ben; Jack and Alex. Dear son-in-law of the late Samuel and the late Peppy Shoot. Brother-in-law of Barry Shoot.
Deepest gratitude to the CLSC/NOVA palliative homecare team; Myriam, Paula, and Dr. Caitlin Stoddard for their comfort, care and guidance through this process. Our everlasting thanks to all the staff and volunteers at St. Raphael who helped us through his final journey with the utmost of humanity and dignity.

Marvin’s family was the center of his world, and he will be deeply and forever missed.
