Marylin Winterfeld (née Sklar)

With profound sadness, the family of Marilyn Winterfeld z’l announces her peaceful passing surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 21, 2026, 11 Tishrei, 5787 in her 91st year coinciding with the end of Neilah, minutes before the sounding of the Shofar while the gates of heaven were still open waiting to receive her. Devoted wife of the late Mark Winterfeld.  Beloved mother and mother-in-law Betty and Michael Simpson, Barry and Lelach Winterfeld. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her ten grandchildren and her twenty great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Harriet and the late Sam Sandow, and sister–in-law of the late Danny and the late Rosemary Winterfeld, the late Chaim Winterfeld and the late Sophie Soren. Special thanks to the staff of the Jewish Hospital of Hope Kastner-2 for many years of care and devotion.  Deepest gratitude to Dr. Maude Peretz-Larochelle and the  ICU K-1 team and to the ER team at the Jewish General Hospital.                                                                                

Graveside service on Thursday September 24 at 1 pm at the Beit Abraham Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at 190 Choquette, DDO, and at 4905 Kent Ave. Due to the festival of Succoth shiva ends Friday afternoon.
