Shiva following burial at the Hillel Lodge, 10 Nadolny Sachs Private, until 3:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Shiva will continue at Bonnie’s home, 479 Penhill Avenue in Ottawa on Monday and Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Suddenly and unexpectedly at Hillel lodge in Ottawa after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Much loved wife of Michael. Adored mother of Bonnie (Ed Haldorsen), and Eric (Stefanie Phillips). Proud grandmother (Bubbles) of Alexandra, Gillian, Parker and Emily. Much admired aunt of 12 Nieces and Nephews. Loving daughter of the late Herman and the late Goldie Hain. Beloved sister of the late Mel Hain.
Penny was a highly esteemed teacher in Montreal for 40 years and leaves behind large numbers of successful students. She will be sadly missed.
