With dignity on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Schneidman. Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Valerie Schneidman and Jay Lawrence, Steven Schneidman and Randee Blum, and the late Howard Schneidman. Adoring and cherished Bubbie of Mollie Lawrence and Max Cavazzini, Elana Lawrence and Eitan Horowitz, and Emily Lawrence; Jonathan Schneidman and Dr. Stephanie Wiseman, Lyndsay Schneidman and Benjamin Neubarth, Noah Schneidman; and Claudia Schneidman. Very proud big Bubbie of Olivia, and Oliver Cavazzini; Eyal, and Jack Horowitz. Predeceased by her devoted brother Gerald Plewa, and by her late brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joe and Helen Schneidman. Dear sister-in-law of Carmela Plewa.
A pillar of leadership she devoted countless hours to community service. Her tireless efforts in fundraising and programming raised necessary funds to support children at risk in Israel, as well as many other worthwhile causes. As a beloved bridge club co-chair, she fostered friendship, camaraderie, and laughter. Her legacy is one of service, generosity, and unwavering commitment to Jewish values and communal responsibility; but first and foremost was her love of family.
Special thanks to the Jewish General Emergency Department, Family Medicine and Palliative Care Units. Burial at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Anshei Ozeroff Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home. Contributions in Roslyn’s memory may be made to the Adath Israel Congregation at (514) 482-4252 or click here, or Emunah Women of Canada at (514) 485-2397 or click here.
An intelligent, fiercely committed, loving, independent and kind woman who made this world a better place.
