As written by Sharon’s husband, Steven

My beautiful, charming wife of 50 years was suddenly taken from me on the evening of Thursday, July 23, 2026. Sharon had valiantly fought for over 2 years the unfortunate disease of Parkinson’s and it was not an easy battle to overcome; but she did a superb job until last night. Loving wife of Steven, spectacular mother and mother-in-law of our two children Michael, and Helen, and Jessica. Loving and adored grandmother of Sebastian, who always brought a smile to her face. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Howard and Fran Rottenberg; and predeceased by Steven’s sister and brother-in-law Betty and Conrad Kogan. Special aunt to her nieces, nephews and beloved cousins, and a special bond with her cousin Caryl.

A brilliant mind, a charming lovely person, a tireless volunteer, a woman of many talents in her working life and most of all she was a giver to her family and friends.

At the age of 81, she was treated with great love and respect by those special people at 6 North at Maimonides, who were there when needed. I was privileged to be with her every day to help fight the battle with her. I would like to give my thanks to our very special caregiver, Jacqui, who was with us every step of the way. A warm hug to Melinda, Shirley, Margerie, and Irene from 6 North who went above and beyond what was expected because they loved her. We had a unique journey and now Sharon will start a new one in heaven.
