Fier Papi de Gabriel, Yonathan (Ilana), Noach (Yael), Emanuel (Gabriella), Talia, Jessica et Jeremy. Arrière-grand-père adoré de Avraham, Daniel, Itzchak, Liora, Naomi et du petite Castiel. Cher frère d’Albert, prédécédé par Belurya, Yehuda et Momi. Shimon laissera un profond vide auprès de sa famille élargie, de ses amis et de tous ceux qui l’ont connu. Les funérailles auront lieu à Jérusalem. La cérémonie du shloshim se tiendra à Montréal.
