Shirley Klein (née Fitleberg)

It is with heavy hearts that Shirley’s family announces her passing on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the age of ninety-six. Wife of the late Ernest (Ernie) Klein for forty-nine years. Mother and mother-in-law of Maxine and Erik Schmeidler, the late Barry, and the late Nancy Klein. Grandmother of Ben Schmeidler, and Melanie and Shane Muzyczka; Kyle, Brian, and Russell Klein. Great-grandmother of four. Sister and sister-in-law of the late Zella and the late George Fitleberg, the late Laura and the late Zvi Wolman, the late Albert Fitleberg, and the late Diana and the late Joe Wexler; and sister-in-law of Mariann and the late Bob Conley. Shirley will be sadly missed by Helen, Parma Sue, Kerrina, Charlene, her family, and friends and by all who knew and loved her. 

Graveside service on Sunday, November 23 at 1:00 p.m. at the Knights of Pythias Section, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Duvernay. Shiva is strictly private. Contributions in Shirley’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
