Shiva visits are welcome Wednesday following the burial until 4:00 p.m., and then 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at 127 Forest Lane Drive until. Shiva visits will then continue at 50 Yorkville Avenue # 4102 Thursday and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Evening services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Shiva visits conclude Tuesday morning, December 23rd.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sidney Greenberg at his home at the age of 88, on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
He was the beloved husband of Reggie Greenberg for 64 years, and a devoted father and father- in-law to Aubie, Ann and Michael, and Richard. He was a proud and loving grandfather "Zaizie" to Melissa and Jakob Brooker, whom he adored deeply.
He was the loving son of Abraham {z"l} and Annie {z"l} Greenberg. Adored son-in-law to John and Florence Bennett, who treated him more like a son that they never had.
Sidney was a cherished brother and brother- in-law to Rita Schmetter (z"l), Harold (z"l) and Edith Greenberg (z"l), Evelyn (z"l) and Leo Levy (z"l), Claire and Bernard Fraistat {z"l), Roslyn Aberman, Harvey (z"l} and Beverley Greenberg, Ian {z"l} and Linda Greenberg, Burt {z"l} and Sylvia Spector. Proud uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Sidney was a visionary businessman and co- founder of Astral Media alongside his three brothers. He was an avid golfer and a passionate philanthropist, deeply committed to Israel and Jewish community life. His legacy includes the involvement of a hockey rink and school in Metula, Israel, a project especially close to his heart.
He served in numerous leadership roles, including past President of Maccabi Canada, Vice President of the Maccabiah World Union, Former President of Basketball Canada, and President of the Israel Ice Hockey Federation, among many other charitable and community organizations.
Sidney Greenberg will be remembered for his leadership, generosity, devotion to family, and lifelong commitment to strengthening community and sport. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (three lights west of Dufferin) for service on Wednesday, December 17th, at 12:00 pm.
