Unexpectedly on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the ICU of the Jewish General Hospital. Cherished wife of Sidney Rosensweig. Beloved and loving mother and mother-in-law of Aaron, Joshua and Claire. Adoring and loving Bubbe of Belle and Sadie. Daughter of the late Sydney and the late Bella Klar. Sister and sister-in-law of Barry and Joyce Klar, sister-in-law of Buddy and the late Sandra Rosensweig, and the late Fred Rosensweig. Aunt of Barbara and Brahm Rosensweig, and Angela and Jennifer Klar. Beloved friend of Eileen Grossman for over forty years. Special cousin and friend of Sharon Covit.
Thelma graduated in nursing from Montreal Jewish General Hospital where she spent the first years of her nursing career, with experience in many departments, particularly in psychiatry.
In spite of health issues in her last few years, Thelma's spirit remained strong. She maintained and enriched her loving relationship with her husband, children, and grandchildren, and thrived on the joy that those two little girls provided, arriving as they did in later years of Bubbe and Zaida.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Sunday, August 31 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Beit Abraham Congregation section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva will be held at her home, 5850 av. Marc-Chagall, apartment #604, Côte Saint-Luc. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Mount Sinai Auxiliary (click here).
