Toby Beck (née Dankoff)

It is with enormous sadness that we announce the passing of Toby in her one hundred and first year. Beloved wife of the late Louis. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Gloria and the late Stanley Chazan, Sharon and Ralph, and the late Henry Gruenstein. Cherished Bubby of Lawrence and Liz, Melissa and David; Michael and Bianca, Elana and Clifford, Randi and Adam. Proud “great-Bubby” of Siera, Logan, Emily, Lucas, Kylie, Charlie, Natalie, Lily, and Sophie. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Danny and the late Mitzi, Sam and the late Rita, the late Faigie and the late Morris, the late Eichiel who perished in the Holocaust, the late Barbara and the late Abie. Toby will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family, and friends, as well as all those who knew and loved her.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the staff at the Steger Residence and the devoted nursing team of Personal Touch, and acknowledge the phenomenal care given to Toby by Jasmine, Peter, Shana, and Sharon. Special thanks to Doctors Sanda Popescu-Crainic and Jerrald Dankoff, and the staff at the Jewish General Hospital. Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Linda Klein for her exceptional care and kindness, as well as the entire staff at Mount Sinai Hospital, who showed profound compassion to Toby.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Thursday, June 5 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Beit Abraham New Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery. D.D.O.
