Eleanor (Ellie) Alexander (née Stern)

With broken hearts, our family announces Ellie’s passing on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the age of ninety-three, peacefully in her sleep after a courageous battle with dementia. Predeceased by her parents Moe and Ann Stern. Cherished wife of the late Kenny Alexander. Beloved mother of Rena Alexander and Robin Alexander. Devoted Bubby of David Levine (Raquel) and Michael Levine (Lauri East). Adored Great-Bubby of Evan and Miles Levine, and Emmett and Sage Levine. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Judy and Mort Skoll, Leonard and the late Anne Stern and Trixie Feldman and the late Arnie Feldman. Proud aunt of Heather Skoll and Ken Alexander, Jeffrey Skoll, Leonard Stern (Sandra), Roxanne Stern, Joel Feldman and Andrea Weltman (Matt). Ellie was also loved by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. Our family wants to thank Jackie and Deb and their team from Golden Home Care and Jasmine and her team from Personal Touch as well as Residence Chateau Dollard for their kindness during her short stay there. Ellie will be sorely missed by her family and by all who knew her. There is a gaping hole which will never be filled!

Funeral service from Paperman’s and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Section, de la Savane.
