LOOK, Esther (née Bendavid)
C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Madame Esther Look (née Bendavid) le samedi 1e juin 2024, mère aimante de Richard (Yvonne Reboh-Look), Denise (feu Simon Lévy), Yvonne (Maxime Ohayon), Annie (Haïm Rebibo) et Alain (Raquel Ohnona-Look) et, grand-mère, arrière-grand-mère et arrière-arrière-grand-mère chérie et adorée par toute sa descendance. Son départ laisse un vide profond dans leur vie. Notre maman était la bonté personnifiée, d’une compassion infinie, toujours au service d’autrui. Elle est partie, avec toute la discrétion qui la caractérisait, rejoindre notre père, Abraham Look Z’L, ses parents, Salomon et Mazal Bendavid Z’L, son frère, Mardochée Bendavid Z’L, son petit-fils, Alexandre-Abraham Look Z’L, ainsi que sa nombreuse famille. Nous tenons à remercier l’ensemble du personnel infirmier et PBA du CHSLD juif de Montréal, Pavillon Hope, 4C ainsi que Vicky et Tigist qui ont été ses accompagnatrices au cours des dernières années. Nous prions pour que son âme repose en paix et que sa mémoire soit bénie.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Mrs. Esther Look (née Bendavid) on Saturday June 1, 2024. Loving mother of Richard (Yvonne Reboh-Look), Denise (the late Simon Lévy), Yvonne (Maxime Ohayon), Annie (Haïm Rebibo) and Alain (Raquel Ohnona-Look) and, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother loved and cherished by all the family. Her passing will leave a big emptiness in our and their lives. Our mother had a profound goodness, an infinite compassion and was always helping others. She left this world with the dignity that characterized her and rejoined our father, Abraham Look Z’L, her parents, Salomon and Mazal Bendavid Z’L, her brother, Mardochée Bendavid, Z’L, her grandson, Alexandre-Abraham Look Z’L, and all her family and friends. At this time of sorrow, we wish to extend our sincere thanks to the whole nursing staff and administrative staff of the Hope Pavilion 4C at the Jewish Eldercare Centre, as well as her two long-time companions, Vicky and Tigist. We pray for the elevation of her soul and blessed memory in Gan Eden and that she rests in peace. Amen.
