Steinberg, Faigie (née Pekeles)
Peacefully, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, a caring soul departed this earth. Beloved wife of the late Jack Steinberg for seventy-one years, whom she will be joining for their seventy-fourth anniversary. A beacon of guiding light to her children, Norman (Renée Kessler) and Erica (Billy Rotchin). Proud Bubbie and Grandma to Marc (Yuri), Tara (Scott), Ryan (Mindy), and Ashley (Derek). Loving great-grandmother of Jack, June, Aubrey, Lonnie, Mylo, Casey, Rory, and Nolan. Predeceased by her parents Essack Pekeles and Jennie Litenatsky, and her late siblings, Sam Pekeles, Ben Pekeles, and Libby Rosen. Auntie Faigie will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her caregiver, Army, whose dedication and warmth will not be forgotten. Sincere thanks to the kindness of the 5th floor nurses and staff at the Kastner Pavilion of the Jewish Eldercare Centre, including Elena and David, who have been there for both Faigie and Jack. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Sunday, June 16 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private.
