Gertrude (Gertie) Lifshitz

Peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, June 23, 2025, in her ninety-eighth year. Wife of the late Sidney. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Larry and Carol, Steven and the late Debbie, Earl and Beverley, and Cheryl. Loving Bubbie of Jarrad Lifshitz, Bryna and Scott Rabin; Josh Lifshitz and Kelly Matthews, and Ali Lifshitz; Jessica Lifshitz, and Adam Lifshitz. Very proud great-grandmother of Max, Leo, Noah, and Cole. Predeceased by her sisters and their spouses, Molly and Sam Gandell, and Faygie and Abe Lightman. Dear sister-in-law of Gloria and the late Dave Simons, the late Selma and the late Harold Fisch. Gertie will be remembered with love by her nieces, nephews, and their families. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Tifereth Israel Section, de la Savane.
