Ida Boretsky (née Okun)

Peacefully at home on Thursday, October 15, 2026 in her 101st year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Paul, and her cherished daughter Sheryl Boretsky Kreindler. Survived by her devoted and loving daughter and son-in-law Donna and Stephen Cooper. Proud Bubbie of Stuart and Marcy Kreindler; Emilie Cooper, Stephanie Cooper and Alok Ghai. Dear “Big Bubba” of Lily, and Jack Kreindler; Stella, and Theo Ghai. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Jack and Bertha Okun, Dora and Kelly Benedik. Daughter of the late Sam and the late Sonia Okun. She will be remembered by family and friends. Ida’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to her caregivers Vicky, Paulette, Cely and Merien; to Jeremy Altman and his team at Equinoxe; to Mark Ortizo and the CLSC Côte des Neiges Palliative Care Team. 

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on October 18th at 11:00 a.m.. Burial at Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Beth David Section, de la Savane. Shiva strictly private. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
