It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce Lila’s passing on Thursday, December 11, 2025, in her ninety-fifth year. Predeceased by her husband David. Dear daughter of the late Nathan and the late Mary Levine. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Myra Kosidoy and Dr. Joel Kula, and Sharon Kosidoy. Cherished Grandma of Arielle, Gavin and fiancée Jordana, and Ethan. Predeceased by her sister and brother-ln-law Anne Lee and Elihu Ginsberg; and by David’s siblings and their spouses Sue and Harry Sigler, Ben Kosidoy, Harry and Grace Kassidey. Loving aunt to her to her many nieces and nephews.
Lila will be fondly remembered by family and friends for her sharp wit, excellent matzo ball soup, her loyal support of the Montreal Expos, and her beloved pets Oreo and Stevie. She was a master in her knowledge of trivia, sayings and expressions in both English and Yiddish. A wonderful mother and grandmother. Think of her fondly and do mitzvahs in her honour.
Special thanks to the 6th floor staff at Maimonides, especially Lena, Adele, Loretta, Arlene, Mirabelle and Shaqira, who showed love, kindness and compassion, and gave her dignity for the duration of her stay.
