Mara Lee Nozetz (née Aronoff)

With great sadness, our family announces the passing of Mara Lee Aronoff Nozetz on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the age of eighty-three, peacefully in her sleep after a long and courageous fight in Tel Aviv. Predeceased by her parents, Leo Aronoff and Evelyn Rudner Aronoff. Cherished wife of Abe Nozetz for forty-six years. Beloved mother of Carla Edelstein (Abe Medawar), Jeffrey Edelstein, Howard Nozetz (Zeena) and Karen Segal (Gary). Proud Bubby Bear of Erin Nozetz (Yazmin Rodriguez), Stuart Segal, Jeremy Segal (Tova), Jody Nozetz Perske (Ben), Michelle Medawar, Trey Edelstein and Lexa Edelstein. Adored Safti and Great Grandmother of Leo, Ari, Noah, and Nora. Mara Lee lit up every room she entered and had a unique way of making everyone she met feel special. She will be more than deeply missed. Losing Mara Lee, leaves a hole in the hearts of all who loved her. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Monday January 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de La Savane. Shiva and services at Ruby Foo’s Hotel, 7655 Décarie Blvd, Monday following burial until 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Evening services at 7:30 p.m daily.
