Marvin Cooper

Peacefully, just shy of his 80th birthday, on Thursday, September 24th, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Beloved husband of Norma Mitchell. Devoted father and father-in-law of Jamie and Robyn, and Andrea and Steve. Proud Zaida of Merlyn, Sean, Mackenzie, and Quentin; and loving Momo of Jamie and Matt, and William. Brother and brother-in-law of Hyman and Roslyn, Stephen and Cathy; brother-in-law of Anita and Stan, Jimmy and Denyse, and the late Ronald and the late Margaret. Marvin will be sadly missed by Norma’s children and their spouses Donald and Louise, and Karen and Mark. He will be fondly remembered by the mother of his children and her spouse, Penny and Mickey, as well as his nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Special thanks to his cousin Dr. Mark Smilovitch for his care and attention over the years. 

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Monday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Beit Abraham Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Due to the festival of Sukkot and the onset of Simchat Torah, the family will be accepting condolence visits following burial, and Shiva will be strictly private.
