Our dear beloved husband, father, Zaida, great Zaida, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend to so many, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 [18 Sivan, 5784].  Ruby was married to Gittie Schachter for sixty-eight beautiful years, maintaining a deep love through all of life’s ups and downs. He showed unconditional love for his beloved children, Steven and Irma, Peter and Therese, Lori-Anne and Howard, and an especially deep love for his grandchildren, Daniel and Casey, David and Michaela, Samuel and partner Marie, James, Lea and partner Justin, Bobbie, and Josh; as well as our newest gem, Zoe Lauren; all the recipients of his unwavering love and attention. Predeceased by his devoted sister and brother-in-law Doris and Ben Karp; and dear brother-in-law of Marion and the late Joel Kaplan, Hershie and Bea Schachter, Carla and Lorie Stein. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. His dedication to community was evident through his active membership in the Côte Saint-Luc Men’s Club, his committed affiliation with his synagogues, and his many years of service as a trusted and respected pharmacist. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, June 26 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
