It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley (Shaindie Adler) Cuttler in her ninety-third year after a long and courageous battle with dementia.

Devoted daughter and daughter-in-law of the late Gertie and the late Morris Adler, the late Freda and the late Daniel Cuttler. Loving wife of the late Leslie, for over sixty-six laugh-filled years. One of a kind mother and mother-in-law to Ellen and Peter Klaiman, Morrie and Karen Cuttler. Dedicated and hands on Gramma to Derek (Geneviève), Jared (Natalie), Carly (Oren), Jeremy (Alanna). Great Gramma of Emma, Chloe and Juliette Klaiman, Arielle, Raphaelle, and Leo Klaiman, Aubrey and Taylor Preisler and Leslie Cuttler.

Special sister-in-law and baby sister to Simmy and the late Sarah Simms, the late Itsik and the late Laura Adler, Hilda and the late Doodie Adler, and the late Norma and Abe Rosenthal. Always surrounded by love from her nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.

In honouring Shaindie’s wishes, our mother was able to remain in the comfort of her own home until her final days. At home, she was lovingly cared for like a queen—a devotion she well deserved—tended to with the utmost dignity and grace by extra special caregivers Joyce and Janice. Thanks to her many caregivers over the years of her illness including Maria and Fely who took wonderful care of her. She was also a very special “Gramma” to Karen McKie, who always showed her compassionate care through the years. Thank you to Dr. Michael Raymond and Frederic Marchael at the ville St Laurent CLSC.

Shaindie leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, generosity, an unwavering devotion to family and friends, and a lifetime of laughter through the countless stories and anecdotes that will forever remain in our hearts. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
