Holocaust Survivor
Peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at the age of ninety-two. Devoted wife of the late Lyon Hood. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Dorit and Steven Kovac. Super Oma of David and Amanda, Jeremy and Zoe, and Elliot. Proud and loving great-grandmother of Sammy, Benji, and Eva. Predeceased by her two beloved older sisters and their spouses Olga and Jacques , Hana and Benjamin. Special aunt to Yona, the late Levi, and the late Dorian. She will be deeply missed by her family. Special thank you to Dr. Elise Levinoff for her exceptional care; and to family friends, Drs. Ruby Friedman and Gerald Batist for their guidance and compassion. Deep appreciation to the caring staff at Snowdon Residence.
Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. West, on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the New Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at Dorit and Steven’s home.
