Lionel Shinder

Suddenly, on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in his ninetieth year. Beloved and devoted husband of the late Sheila. Loving father of Gayle, and Andrew. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Barry and Lynda Shinder, the late Issie and the late Brenda Shinder, and the late Phyllis Kempner. Lionel will be dearly missed by his family and close friends. Lionel had a Doctorate in Education and worked as a teacher for thirty-five years. The family would like to thank the staff at the emergency room and the palliative care unit, especially Fatma, at Saint Mary’s Hospital, for their compassionate care. They would also like to thank the staff at the Glenmount Residence for their kindness. Special thanks to Lorna and Stanley Moses for their unwavering support over the years. Graveside service on Wednesday, June 25, at 11:00 a.m. at the Nusach Hoari Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva Strictly Private.
