It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our much loved and loving Mother, Bubbe, Big Bubbe, Aunt and Friend. Minnie, aka Mildred passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family in her 99th year on Friday April 3, 2026. An exceptional matriarch, she embraced life with a vivacious joie de vivre and infallible spirit. In 1947, Minnie married the love of her life, the late Abe Weitzman who passed away in 2012. Together they enjoyed sixty-four extraordinary years. Minnie is survived by her three adoring children and their spouses Paula, Brian and Sue, Warren and Gail; her beloved grandchildren Sarah and Kevin, Jennifer and Dan, Sean and Genevieve, Jeffrey and Corinne, Robbie and Jennifer. Very proud great grandmother of Emma, Mason, Skye, Leo, Henry, Ella, Lily, Abby, Luke and James.
Minnie was raised in a close knit family and was the last surviving member. Daughter of the late Ida and the late Sam Rodman; and daughter-in-law of the late Sossia and the late Beryl Weitzman. Predeceased by her siblings Rhoda Harris (the late Max), Louis Rodman (the late Bea), Sarah Sable (the late Harry), Bernie Rodman; and by Abe’s siblings Albert (the late Bertha), Itschak, and Max. Dear sister-in-law of Sybil Rodman.
For celebrations and holidays, Minnie’s home was THE gathering place for all extended family. She welcomed everyone and there was always room for one more. Her beautiful smile and strong positive attitude were reflected in the love she extended to all. Renowned for her delish apple cake and to-die-for mandel bread, Minnie’s meals and treats were unfailingly scrumptious.
Minnie will be greatly missed by everyone who was fortunate to know her.
Special thanks to her devoted caregivers, Monsi and Helen, to her Family Doctor Dr David Shahin, and to the CLSC palliative team; Joanne Cuerquis RN, Dr. Marie-Claire Thomassin, and Joy Goldman MSW.
Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday April 6, at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, at Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Due to the festival of Passover, Shiva begins Friday April 10.

She will forever be in our hearts.
