It is with great sadness that the family of Sheila Cohen announces her passing on Friday, May 29, 2026, in her ninety-eighth year. Devoted wife of the late Albert Cohen. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Delila and Boaz Dallal, and Nava and Avi Ben-Horesh. Proud Nona of Nahum, Avior, Hod, Eden, and Elad. Sheila will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and all who knew her.
A woman of extraordinary strength and devotion, Sheila cared selflessly for her family through life’s many challenges, including her husband Albert’s tragic accident in 1972. Despite hardship, she created a warm and loving home and was known for her kindness, resilience, loyalty, and grace.
Heartfelt thanks to the nurses and Dr. Bouhadana of the Jewish General Hospital for their care and professionalism. A very special thank you to Rabbi Soto and Moshe Benguira for support and guidance through what was a difficult time, when they were needed most. A thank you as well to Rabbi Barak of the Jewish General Hospital and his wife for their kindness and compassion.
