Peacefully, in his ninety-fifth year, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday November 27, 2025. Beloved husband and soulmate of Anne Lifshitz for seventy years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Donna Haltrecht and Leslie Lansky, and the late Howard Haltrecht. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Henny and the late Terry Robbins, brother-in-law of Edith and the late Hyman Lifshitz, the late Lily and the late Sam Toulch, the late Dora and the late Harry Panoff and the late Murray Nixon, the late Norma and the late Howard Gilmour. Loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Max will hold a special place in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Sunday, November 30 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Chevra Thilim Pinsker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his home following the burial through Monday evening.
